Although you are no longer with me
You have planted a seed from which roots have sprouted 
Roots which are deeply entrenched within my soul
My only goal
Is to harvest what’s left of my love for you 
Before winter sets in, and my branches wither 
Come hither 
And collect the remnants of what could’ve been
But alas
Is not.
